Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Village Theaters is a cultural and artistic service conducted in the villages of Izmir. The program reaches a total of 200 participants in 9 different locations, bringing together individuals of all ages, from 7 to 70. This service aims to strengthen cultural life in villages through theater and to provide access to art for citizens of all ages. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Village Theaters offers acting, movement, and music training to initiate art production in rural areas and contribute to the personal development of villagers. The training is conducted without harming the village's natural environment, reflecting local culture, and considering stage requirements. The goal is to cultivate confident individuals who can express themselves well, stand up for their rights and labor, and can value their creations. Dialects, regional games, costumes, and other cultural elements represent the richness of the village, and preserving these values; passing on the village's color, culture, motifs, language, and history to future generations is among the fundamental goals of the service.
